The branding power of Cause World

Cause World just seems to be one step...make that several steps ahead of the game when it comes to location based social networking games.

When users check-in to a location, not only can they earn the initial karma from the check-in, but now additional karmas can be earn by scanning barcodes of brand names like Crest and Tide who sponsor Cause World.

Using whatever mobile device on hand, users pick a specific brand, line up the barcode using the camera on the device and presto! You've just earned an additional sum of karma!

Pure branding power:
The branding power in this feature comes in two layers. The first being that brands like Crest and Tide will pay or donate to Cause World in order for their brands to be part of the scanning portion of the game.

The second layer is a sales technique. Think about it, once you pick up that big orange box of Tide there's a much higher probability that the next time you buy a laundry detergent, you'll pick Tide.

Think of how many users will scan a bottle of Coke and suddenly feel thirsty. It may be a long shot but in some cases it may work, especially if the Cause World user is the primary grocery shopper in the family.
